Background and Challenge

PepsiCo commissioned us with the relaunch of the Gatorade website – a challenge we embraced with enthusiasm. Gatorade's uniqueness stems not only from its unbeatable taste and dominant market position, but also from its scientific origin story. Dr. Robert Cade and his team originally developed the drink specifically for the Florida Gators based on solid scientific research. Our task was to subtly integrate this authentic heritage into the new web presence while capturing the characteristic feeling that makes Gatorade so distinctive.

 

Approach and Realization

Just as in sports, the right technique is crucial in the digital realm. We built the website on the open-source CMS Drupal, ensuring both performance and flexibility. The modern design was enriched with carefully placed motion elements to visually convey Gatorade's dynamic energy directly to users. Beneath the attractive surface, robust technical infrastructure delivers lightning-fast loading times. Additionally, Drupal enables streamlined workflows and smooth coordination processes in content management – a decisive criterion for successful collaboration with PepsiCo.

 

Results

Through close cooperation with PepsiCo, we created a website that authentically reflects Gatorade's dynamism and energy. However, Gatorade's success is built not only on scientifically proven benefits or characteristic bright colors, but primarily on its community – everyone who sweats, trains, and pushes their limits daily. Through intelligent integration of Gatorade's social accounts, this deserving community finally receives the spotlight it merits, becoming an integral part of the digital brand experience.
