Google Ads is an online advertising platform by Google that allows businesses to display paid ads in Google's search results as well as on partner websites in the Google Display Network. The platform operates on a pay-per-click (PPC) model, meaning advertisers only pay when a user clicks on their ad. Google Ads is one of the most effective methods for driving traffic to websites and increasing visibility in search results. 

How It Works

Google Ads is based on an auction system where advertisers place bids for specific keywords relevant to their products or services. When a user searches for one of these keywords, the most relevant ads are shown in the search results. The position of the ad depends on several factors, including the bid amount, the ad quality (such as the ad copy and landing page), and the quality score

Types of Google Ads

  1. Search Network ads: These ads appear in Google search results when a user searches for a specific keyword. They are typically text-based and highly targeted. 
  2. Display Network ads: These ads are shown on partner websites within the Google Display Network, including blogs, news sites, and other websites that run Google ads. These ads can include graphics, videos, or text and reach a broader audience. 
  3. Video ads: These ads appear before or during YouTube videos. They can be targeted based on viewers' interests or demographic characteristics. 
  4. Shopping ads: These ads are specifically for e-commerce businesses and display product images, prices, and retailer information directly in Google search results. 
  5. App ads: These ads promote mobile apps and appear in Google search results, Google Play, YouTube, and the Display Network
