Page Speed refers to the speed at which a webpage loads. It measures how quickly content becomes visible and how long it takes for the entire page to fully load. Fast loading times are critical for a good user experience and impact search engine rankings

Important Metrics

  • Time to First Byte (TTFB): Measures the time it takes for the browser to receive the first data from the server. A low TTFB indicates a fast server response. 
  • First Contentful Paint (FCP): The point at which the first visible content appears. A good FCP is under 1.8 seconds. 
  • Largest Contentful Paint (LCP): Indicates when the largest visible content is fully loaded. Google recommends keeping LCP under 2.5 seconds. 
  • Fully Loaded Time: The total time taken for all content to load.

  • Optimize Images: Compression and modern formats like WebP reduce file size. 
  • Use Caching: Storing content locally speeds up loading during repeat visits. 
  • Reduce Code: Minification of CSS, JavaScript, and HTML saves loading time. 
  • Use a Content Delivery Network (CDN): Content is served from servers geographically closer to the user.
