App development that makes a task easier.

Help customers use a service, handle a request on the move or follow its progress. We connect app strategy, UX and development around a clear purpose.

Give people a reason to return to your app.

A service request should be as straightforward on the move as it is at a desk. Yet signing in takes effort, people have to enter the same details again and the status is unclear after submission. An app can address these problems through a considered journey, clear feedback and the right connections to your systems. We start with the task your users need to complete and compare the application formats that could support it.

From opening the app to completing the task.

App quality shows in whether people can complete their tasks clearly and reliably. We connect prototypes and feedback with checks of performance, accessibility and technical workflows. Reusable components and appropriate automation can support delivery. AI can prepare design, code or test suggestions; we review their suitability in context. We take responsibility for concept and quality. We assess usage, retention and economic value against agreed goals.

Web app, cross-platform or native? Start with usage.

Platform choice shapes access, interaction and maintenance. We compare the options against a specific journey and the devices it needs to work on.

    • Web apps and PWAs

For services people should be able to open through a link. A progressive web app can also be installable and support selected offline functions. We check which capabilities are available on the intended browsers and devices.

    • Cross-platform apps

A shared code base can suit several mobile platforms when features and design largely align. Device-specific changes, testing and store submissions still need to be planned.

    • Native apps

An option when deeper device integration or highly specific interactions shape the application. We assess the additional development and maintenance effort for the required platforms.

    • Improve an existing application

The first opportunity may be a single journey: signing in, entering data, searching or checking status. We assess how to improve it and which technical dependencies affect the work.

One user journey makes the idea testable.

A focused concept and implementation pilot can be a useful starting point. Together we select a task and agree the audience, testing scope and output. The package can include the following elements.

    • A usable prototype

The core journey with content, interactions and feedback. Appropriate test participants help reveal what makes sense and where people get stuck.

    • A reasoned implementation plan

A comparison of platform options and required integrations. We document the features, open questions, effort and operating responsibilities for a first usable version.

    How we deliver

    01

    Define the task and value

We assess the audience, usage context and existing services. This leads to a reasoned feature scope and criteria for choosing the platform.

    02

    Review the concept with prototypes

We make key user journeys tangible and test them with suitable participants. Feedback informs content, design and priorities.

    03

    Choose the technology

We compare native development with shared code bases across platforms. Device features, interaction, performance and maintenance guide the decision.

    04

    Connect the app and systems

We implement the agreed features and integrations. These may include login, data synchronisation, notifications and approved usage analysis.

    05

    Support launch and development

We jointly plan publication, introduction and maintenance. Feedback and available usage data help prioritise improvements.

    Your questions about working together

    Sources and technical context

    • MDN: Progressive web apps

Technical guidance on installation, offline use and device capabilities. Specific browser support needs to be checked when selecting a platform.

Which task should your app make easier?

Tell us about the audience, the most important journey and your existing systems. An initial conversation helps define the starting point; scope and budget are agreed afterwards.
